Zebrano wood is one of my absolute favourite African woods to work with, loved for its distinctive grain pattern that resembles the stripes of a zebra. Its striking natural character makes every ring unique, showcasing the beauty of the wood's organic markings.
What is Zirconium?
Zirconium is a strong, lightweight metal known for its durability and striking dark appearance. Unlike many other metals, zirconium is highly resistant to corrosion and does not easily scratch or tarnish, making it an excellent choice for everyday jewelry. When exposed to heat, its surface forms a natural oxide layer that creates a deep charcoal black finish. This is not a coating, but a transformation of the metal itself, meaning the color will not peel or fade over time.
